The Black Horse is in the picturesque village of Foxton in Leicestershire. Just off the A6 about 3 miles out of Market Harborough. We’re just a short walk on the tow path from the popular tourist attraction of Foxton Locks. Escape the busy locks and drop by to enjoy a quiet drink and bite to eat with us. Our chef uses fresh ingredients to produce fabulous meals that you can have outdoors on the patio area whilst taking in the peaceful outdoors, or in our conservatory restaurant where you can still take in the extensive views of the countryside. Foxton Locks Inn

Foxton Locks – Restaurant nestled at the bottom of the famous staircase of 10 locks on the Grand Union Canal, this picturesque inn is the perfect place to enjoy a pint and some excellent food, whilst exploring the history and beauty of the Foxton Locks country park. Open all day, everyday, you can pop in for a pot of tea or a pint of award winning real ale – there are 6 to choose from – or enjoy a leisurely lunch on the heated waterside terrace. Dinner can be a romantic occasion with a pretty view of the softly lit canal and warm hospitality provided by the friendly staff. A great family pub Foxton Locks Inn is child friendly complete with baby changing facilities and provides a separate children’s menu. Bridge 61 Pub

 

 

Bridge 61 Pub Foxton Locks is a small traditional canal-side pub situated at the bottom of the locks. It is a great place to relax, whilst watching the boats go by. Open every day of the year, serving local Cask Marqued real ales, coffees, teas & snacks. Decorated with canal artefacts, patio and sunny (hopefully!) beer garden. The Bell East Langton The bell is a short drive from Foxton Locks Lodges in the picturesque village of East Langton. The pub serves excellent food daily with all the freshest ingredients in its warm and cosy restaurant. The bar area is also perfect if you just fancy a quick drink.

The Fox and Goose – Illston on the Hill

 

 

The Fox & Goose really is one of Leicestershire’s oldest and traditional country inn’s. Their tiny village pub offers a warm welcome, real log fires and traditional ales. Quality home cooked food offer has recently been introduced and they now offer walkers, cyclist and horse riders an opportunity to stop for afternoon teas and refreshments.

You’ll find The Bell in the small village of Gumley overlooking Foxton – you can actually see the village from the log cabins. This is a traditional pub with lots of original features, which add to its rural and rustic charm. It its a lovely walk through the fields to access Gumley. The Crown has a country pub ambience with log fire and a cosy bar for those cold winter months and a pretty terrace garden at the rear of the property to soak up the summer rays. The pub serves top quality pub food with a wide variety of ales and wines. There is also a pool table and darts board.
